Raising Confident, Grounded Young People

As parents, we all want our children to know who they are, to stand strong in that, and to step into life with confidence and purpose. Yet the reality is that many teens are navigating a world that is loud, confusing, and constantly pulling at their identity.
Over the years, through working with families and walking closely with young people, it has become clear just how deeply our teens are wrestling with questions of identity, belonging, and self-worth. They are often influenced more by the world around them than grounded in who they truly are.
This Teen Life Coaching journey was created to come alongside them in this crucial season.
It is a safe, guided space where teens are able to slow down, reflect, and begin to understand themselves—how they think, what they believe, what shapes them, and ultimately, who they are at their core.
The journey runs in two 8-week terms (8 sessions per term), and can be taken separately or as a full 16-week experience.
The first 8 weeks focus on identity—helping them uncover truth about themselves, recognise the lies they may have believed, and begin to build a strong internal foundation.
The second 8 weeks move into living that identity out—exploring values, choices, relationships, habits, and how to show up authentically in everyday life.
Sessions take place in a relaxed, small group setting where teens can learn and grow together. Groups are intentionally kept small to allow for real connection, conversation, and personal attention.
We meet either:
- at a local coffee shop in Tokai or Kalk Bay, or
- in an online group setting for those who prefer that option
There is something special about gathering around a table, warm drink in hand, having real conversations about life. Teens will be encouraged to bring a little money each week to purchase a drink or snack—adding to the relaxed, comfortable environment where they can settle in and feel at ease.
Two age groups are available to ensure conversations remain relevant and relatable:
- 13–15 years (Grade 7–9)
- 16+ years (Grade 10 and up)
This is not about fixing teens.
It is about equipping them.
Equipping them to:
- Know who they are
- Understand what influences them
- Build confidence from within
- Make decisions aligned with their values
- Step into life with clarity and courage
Whether your teen joins for one term or continues through the full journey, the heart behind this remains the same:
To see young people grounded in who they are, secure in their worth, and equipped to live the life they were created for.
